By Marissa Donato

Is it possible to purchase a cheap flat iron? The saying "You get what you pay for" should ring a bell when thinking of buying a flat iron. Should you decide to buy a cheap iron, than you could be setting your hair up for heat damage, hair breakage and color loss. You spend so much money on haircuts, hair coloring and hair products; why take the risk with a low quality flat iron just it seems like such a bargain for $30.00?

If you are like most customers, then you probably do not want to put a huge dent in your wallet when purchasing your next flat iron. Putting a few hundreds of dollars down on a flat iron can seem unnerving. At the same time, the answer to the problem isn't to buy a cheap drugstore flat iron. Purchasing a flat iron doesn't have to be a scary|unnerving experience.

It is possible to purchase a good flat iron for under $100.00. I don't think it's ignorant to assume that spending $100.00 is not realistic. It is very realistic. If this is your first flat iron purchase than perhaps you expected to be able to purchase a flat iron for only $30.00. Let's just get over that hump. It's not going to happen. If you care about avoiding heat damage to your hair then you will gladly accept and expect to pay anywhere from $80.00-$100.00 on a good flat iron.

The BaByliss Pro Nano Titanium Ultra Thin 1" is a wonderful product. It has all the bells and whistles that a BaByliss flat iron offers but it's a smaller and sleeker design. the features of this flat iron is that it has adjustable temperature settings and heats up very quickly. This iron also allows for styling your hair with curls, flips and adding more volume. This flat iron also offers a 4 year manufacturer warranty which makes this flat iron even more desirable to have in your possession.

Solia offers several great flat irons under $100.00. in fact most Solia flat irons can even run under the $80.00 mark. Solia flat irons offer multiple uses too. Just like BaByliss, you can curl, flip and add volume to your hair. Solia's tourmaline plates are designed for even heat distribution so there are no hot spots to burn or damage your hair. Many customers have thrown out their previous flat irons after purchasing a Solia brand flat iron because they were able to produce professional results by themselves and in their own home with it.

Another flat iron that gets props for producing smooth pin-straight styles is FHI flat irons. Celebrity stylists love this flat iron because it heats up quickly and delivers professional results. The only drawbacks about this iron is that it doesn't allow for curling or flipping hair styles since the plates are rectangular in shape. It also does not allow for temperature adjustment but instead it offers a fixed heat of 410 degrees. - 16759
